Youth Safety Policy
Last Updated: October 6, 2026
Our Commitment
Cold Streets supports young people and youth causes. Keeping children safe comes before sales, advertising, fundraising, and everything else we do.
This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Site or takes part in our Programs, including shoppers, Card senders, advertisers, sponsors, Affiliates, fundraisers, and Adult Representatives.
How We Work with Young People
- Adults only: Purchases, Advertising, Sponsorships, Affiliate participation, and agreements are for people 18 and older. Young people take part in fundraising only through an approved Adult Representative.
- We communicate with adults: Cold Streets does not seek direct contact with minors. If a minor contacts us, we may ask them to have a parent, guardian, or Adult Representative contact us instead.
- Privacy: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See the Children’s Privacy section of our Privacy Policy.
- Our own marketing: [Any photos or information about children that we use in our own marketing are used only with written permission from a parent or guardian.]
Rules for Everyone
- Never use the Service to contact, pursue, befriend, pressure, or meet a child for any improper purpose.
- Never post, send, or promote sexual, sexualized, or exploitative Content involving anyone under 18. We have zero tolerance for this.
- Do not post a child’s personal information without written permission from a parent or guardian. This includes a full name, school, address, location, phone number, email address, social media handle, photo, or schedule.
- Do not share Content that shows a child in an unsafe, embarrassing, or harmful situation.
- Do not ask a child to keep secrets from parents, move to private messaging, or meet offline.
- Do not pressure or guilt children or families into buying or selling.
Rules for Adult Representatives and Fundraisers
- Supervise everything a young person does in connection with fundraising.
- Use first names or initials whenever possible, and get written parent or guardian consent before sharing any photo or detail about a child.
- Do not allow minors to go door to door, handle cash, meet buyers, or contact strangers. Do not ask children under 13 to post on social media.
- Follow every school, district, and Group rule, along with any screening, training, or background-check requirements that apply to you.
- If you are a teacher, coach, or other professional required by law to report abuse or neglect, follow your legal duty. Reporting to us does not replace it.
Pass the Love Cards and Photos of Minors
A Card that names or shows a minor requires permission from a parent or guardian.
Use a first name or initial only, and never include a child’s location, school, contact details, or social media handle.
We may remove any Card that does not meet these rules.
Reporting a Concern
To report a concern to us, email support@coldstreets.com with “Safety” in the subject line.
Include the page or link, a short description, and a screenshot if you can. You may include your contact information, but you are not required to.
