Community Guidelines

Last Updated: October 6, 2026

Our Spirit

Cold Streets is about turning negatives into positives. Everything shared here, including Pass the Love Cards, messages, advertisements, fundraisers, and promotions, should lift people up and be safe for young people to see.

These Guidelines apply to everyone who uses the Site or takes part in our Programs.

What We Love to See

Kindness, encouragement, gratitude, local pride, helping neighbors, youth success, and honest support for good causes.

What Is Not Allowed

  • Hate or discrimination: Content that attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected trait.
  • Bullying and harassment: Insults, threats, shaming, stalking, or targeting any person or Group.
  • Sexual Content: Anything sexual or sexually suggestive.
  • Violence: Threats, graphic violence, gore, or Content that promotes harm to people or animals.
  • Self-harm: Content that encourages or promotes self-harm or suicide.
  • Dangerous or illegal activity: Drugs, weapons, scams, fraud, stolen goods, or anything illegal where it is shared.
  • Personal information of others: Addresses, phone numbers, private photos, or other details shared without permission. Special rules protect children, as described in the Youth Safety Policy.
  • Impersonation and deception: Pretending to be someone else, fake reviews, false claims, or misleading people.
  • Spam: Repeated, unwanted, or automated messages or links.
  • Copyright and brand violations: Using Content, logos, or names you do not have permission to use.
  • Campaigning: Messages that promote candidates, parties, or ballot measures.

Pass the Love Cards

Keep messages kind and positive. Only name or show people who have agreed, and use first names or initials for young people.

Never include contact details, locations, or social media handles. We may decline, edit, or remove any Card.

If Someone Is Struggling

If you or someone you know is in crisis, in the United States call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.

How We Review

We may review Content before or after it appears, and we are not required to monitor everything.

We may decline, edit, hide, or remove Content, and suspend or remove people, Groups, advertisers, sponsors, and Affiliates who do not follow these Guidelines.

We consider the Content, the context, and the effect on the community.

Reporting

To report Content or behavior that breaks these Guidelines, email support@coldstreets.com .

For Advertising, you may also email partnerships@coldstreets.com .

If a child may be at risk, follow the steps in the Youth Safety Policy.

You may ask us to take a second look at a decision by emailing us.

What Happens When the Guidelines Are Broken

Depending on the seriousness, we may remove Content, give a warning, suspend or remove access, end a Program Agreement, or report the matter to authorities.

Refunds, if any, are covered in the applicable Program Terms.

Changes

We may update these Guidelines by posting a new “Last Updated” date.
